Welcome, The Source is designed to provide general, and HTML-related reference tools exclusively for WebTV users. Follow the link at the bottom to visit the main page.

This site is not compatible with, nor recommended for PCs.





HTML Source Viewer
The idea is to save The Source page in Favorites (link below) and assign it an "F" Key. The address of the page you last visited is displayed in a text-input field. When you want to view the source-code of a page, press your F Key, then Return. That's it!

Image URL Extractor
If it's image URLs you're looking for, press the "View Images" button. FileDex will give you URL links and display the images.

Personalized Links
You can personalize The Source by configuring the links section to include your favorite webpages. Just click the button that says customize.

Image Sizer
If you're looking for the size of an image, load the image, then load The Source page. The image will appear along with a button for height and width.
If you'd prefer, you can also enter an image URL to view or experiment with different image sizes.

Spell Checker & Dictionary
Enter a word and Webster's database will correct spelling errors and give the definition of the word.

JavaScript Calculator
Quick, easy, and self-explanitory.

Logins
From this section you can login to various file managers and online email accounts. Your names and passwords can be stored, so you won't have to type them evey time.

Date & Time
Click the On button for the day, date, hours, minutes and seconds.

HTML Test Bed
You can also use this to test JavaScripts. Necessary tags are already in place so that you may cut and paste your results directly into a page editor.

Image Wrecker
This page lets you experiment with image sizes and transparency. You can also test an image against your choice of background color or image.

Background Tester
Enter a background image URL and you'll see the background along with various text colors.

Button Tester
Choose which WebTV forms button you'd like to use, then see an assortment of text colors placed on them.

Multi-Page Viewer
This tool allows you to view two seperate web pages on one single page. Simply type in a URL, and the page will load within one of the two frames.

Swatch Color Tester
Created for the Reference Table by an anonymous WebTV user, this page will load the last viewed graphic (the one prior to viewing the Reference Table) and load it as a background. From there you can easily experiment with font colors.
